Artsnacks May 2016, unboxing

This month’s Artsnacks loot arrived today. I knew there was going to be a new product introduced on the market with this month’s box, but was still surprised by it. The Krink paint marker is new to the market, and as I look at it, I wonder what the inspiration for the product was. I can see a variety of uses for it, but alas none that I think most artists would use.

Daler Rowney’s FW. Acrylic ink was a nice inclusion. I’m sure I can get some inspiration of blacks and yellows together from nature. There’s the classic bumble bee, yet I am thinking butterfly and maybe even penguin. I think I will stick with working in an 8″x8″ layout. This gives me lots of room for details, and a reasonable turn around time. I’m more interested in the quality I can produce with the Artsnacks challenge than I am with the speed of turn around.

As for the other two products, I know I can put those to repeated use. Especially the Aquabrush will serve for a few events and travels planned this summer that it is ideal for. Well, it’s time to go play.
